STEPS OF BEARD TRANSPLANT

The same process is followed as in hair transplant in beard transplant. The process starts with consultation where the new beard line is designed by the physician. A natural appearance is the most important fact, so beard line is drawn in harmony with the patient’s facial structure. Shape of chin plays a big role in the designing process. Number of grafts and the density is chosen by the physician. Hair color, thickness, and natural hair density are the major facts to design the beard line. Neck area is usually picked as donor area.

The operation is performed under local anesthesia. Process starts with picking the follicles from the donor area. After creating the canals, each follicle is implanted to the recipient area with very fine tipped needles. These tiny incisions heal very quickly and leave no scars. AFTER CARE

The patient should not peel off the crusting, and let it heal in order to prevent from future scarring. In order to get permanent results, please follow the instructions given by the physician. It is very important to protect the recipient area for 2 weeks after the operation.

• The patient can not touch, scratch, or rub the transplanted area for 48 hours.
• The first wash after transplant should be done after two to four days under the control of a physician(It may vary for each client)
• Patient is not allowed to use sauna and any other spa facility, also swim or take a bath for the first 2 weeks after hair transplant.
• When taking a shower, patient must use luke warm water, no running water in high pressure.
• Patient must protect the scalp from the direct sun for 30 days.
• Scabs and pimples are common in the first 2 weeks of post operation. These should not be touched. They will heal on their own if taken care properly.
